Scenario 1: Advanced installation with EasySet software - RECOMMENDED

Connecto has prepared a xml-file that is configured for the X-kiosk application. The settings are according the examples in our manual: HID-device with Belgian keyboard + prefix and suffix. You can upload this file to the scanner with the EasySet software. Remark: the download file is a pdf file. You have to copy the text of the pdf file. Paste it in notepad and save it as an xml-file. 1.3. if you get the result: httpM==Zzz:connecto:co,=qwerty. Proceed to 1.4.
1.4. Action: change the keyboard layout of the scanner. Download the configuration page: MAN_Newland_Scanner_Change keyboard layout or use the barcodes under this text. Scan each barcode. Do the test again.
FAQ 1: How to add a prefix to the barcode?
This is an example how to add the character "E" in front of a barcode. Other characters? You have to look up the HEX number. For "E" this is 45. Important: you can use this test to see if the scanner is adding the prefix well to the barcode. In case you want to add for example a "Carriage return", this is not always very well visible in notepad for test purposes.Download configuration page: MAN_Newland_Scanner_Test Prefix E or use the barcodes under this text.
